CREATIVE STATEMENT
My interest in editorial illustration began when I was working toward my Bachelor of Fine Arts at Otis College of Art and Design. I was drawn to editorial illustration because of its ability to convey complex themes, challenge the viewer, and create connections. To create a successful editorial illustration, I believe it is important to do ample research and explore multiple variations of an idea. As an illustrator who specializes in both traditional and digital media, I often incorporate gouache or watercolor motifs, and utilize digital tools to enhance my work. My ability to create realistic illustrations has allowed me to blend artistry with accuracy in order to create work in the editorial, medical, and natural science spheres.

What topic do you most enjoy illustrating about?
I love illustrating anatomy, botanicals, insects, jewelry, and patterns/textiles.
What magazine cover do you want your illustration to be on?
My dream would be to illustrate the cover of The New Yorker, Juxtapoz, and/or Hi-Fructose. I would also love the opportunity to illustrate for medical journals such as Science, Scientific American, and/or Nature.
