CREATIVE STATEMENT
My interest in food illustration began as soon as I got my hands on Mollie Katzen’s Moosewood Cookbook, which was full of simple and charming process illustrations that made me think, “I want to do that!” Over the years, my expertise in food illustration has developed due to years of drawing seasonal produce calendars, and illustrating an encyclopedic book about cheese. As an illustrator who specializes in food illustration, I nurture this focus by regular trips to the farmer’s market, pouring over cookbooks, and drawing what I cook.
