CREATIVE STATEMENT
I’m an award-winning illustrator and designer of over ten children’s books in multiple genres in Germany and the USA. I specialize in stylized animals, both real and imaginary. I grew up with a variety of pets, including a toucan. Over the years, I’ve developed a style combining traditional and digital media. I begin by sketching on a Wacom tablet in Photoshop. Then, I paint my illustrations on watercolor paper with acrylic inks and paints, adding graphite, colored pencils, and aquarelle crayons. Each element embellishes a successful narrative illustration’s two most important qualities: story and character.

I have a book about a dancing bear.
Which do you prefer: Cats or Dogs?
I prefer to draw cats with their body language and attitude.
