CREATIVE STATEMENT
I find freedom and flexibility in botanicals. As a botanical illustrator, I've developed expertise in florals and plants through commissioned projects. I continually learn by researching different botanicals and their symbolism. I love the life and movement plants bring to my illustrations, and I maintain my skillset by visiting botanical gardens, taking walks, and collecting botanical books for reference.

Q&A
Which flower do you draw the most?
Daffodills and bougainvilleas, they remind me of spring and my childhood garden and I’m just obsessed with them.
What grows in your garden?
I don’t have a garden but my balcony is full of geraniums and bougainvilleas, although it is hard to get the latter to bloom in the Berlin weather.
What do flowers symbolize to you?
A colorful life.
