CREATIVE STATEMENT
My interest in animals and wildlife began with birds. Over the years, my expertise in animals and wildlife has developed due to the projects I have been entrusted to illustrate, from the Sonoran desert to the British woodlands. Throughout the years I have learned so much from them, from their habitat to the lore behind them. What I love most about animal illustration is its ability to understand their movements and mannerisms and translate them into a vibrant image.

What animal do you most relate to?
Probably an owl, curious and always observant.
What animal is the most fun to draw?
Birds in general, there is a flair of drama about them that is incredibly fun.
Which do you prefer: cats or dogs?
Dogs, always! I will also say hello to the dogs I meet, to my dogs horror. Cats are also ok.
